Stop 1: Embroidery, Stories and One Stitch
Begin the day with an artist, artisan and passionate guardian of tradition, who welcomes you into a world of colour and thread.
Here, you’ll dive into the story behind Lefkada’s most unique and precious embroidery technique: a rare stitching style that originated right in
the village of Karya. You’ll find out all about the creative process and see firsthand how this ancient art is reinterpreted into contemporary
expressions of identity and beauty.
Then, it’s your turn. With needle in hand, you’ll join the collective rhythm of embroidery.
Stop 2: Weaving the Past into the Present
Carrying on, you’ll head to a nearby village in a bright, airy atelier, where talented local weavers carry forward Lefkada’s rich textile traditions,
breathing new life into techniques passed down through generations.
Seated at an antique wooden loom, you’ll discover the art of traditional weaving and, under the watchful, encouraging eye of the women
beside you, you’ll craft a unique piece to take home.
Stop 3: Karya Folklore Museum – A Glimpse into Village Life
Your final stop brings you to the nearby village of Karya to visit its beloved Folklore Museum, a lovingly curated collection that offers a window
into the everyday life of Lefkadians in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Wander through rooms filled with handcrafted textiles, local costumes and domestic artifacts, each one echoing the rhythms of village life
and the artistry of the women who shaped it. This intimate museum helps you see the island’s past not as distant history, but as something
living, tactile, and deeply personal.

Meals
Every day of the 5 day tour – except for the arrival and the designated free day – concludes with a full local lunch including drinks. These
meals are inspired by seasonal Lefkadian and other Greek recipes, and are enjoyed at carefully selected local restaurants, either in town or in
a nearby village, depending on the day’s itinerary.
As for dinner, you are free to explore and choose your own dining experience.
Whether you prefer a cozy taverna in Lefkada Town or a charming spot off the beaten path, you’re encouraged to discover the island’s
flavours at their own pace.
Of course, we’ll be more than happy to share our personal recommendations, helping you find the perfect place for a memorable evening
meal.

For bookings that will occur in less than 30 days or last‑minute bookings, the payment of the remaining balance is made upon
confirmation of the reservation and it is non-refundable.

to larger private groups, such as groups of friends or corporate team-building events.
When you, our guest, book one or more of Mama’s Flavours’ gastronomic experiences, the day is entirely dedicated to you, your friends and
your loved ones. Once your booking is confirmed, no other guests can be added to the experience. In this way, we share a beautiful day
together and, by the end, we say “until next time” as friends!
